Zoom F3 is gaining in popularity thanks to its compactness and sound quality, making it a great tool for carrying a quality recorder in your pocket at all times.
The problem is that setting up the microphones takes the most time, and when you want to capture the action, or the moment as in photography, you need to react quickly. I came up with the idea of designing a plug & rec microphone, so that the camera could be taken out quickly.
This combo makes for an incredibly powerful pocket recorder that lets you record in the middle of the night with virtually no noise, thanks to microphones that are far superior to those found on conventional pocket recorders. With a simple movement, you can remove it and use your usual set-up for a different sound recording.
The idea came from a real need, and is now accessible to all.
A jecklin disk is in option, enabling you to gain D/G separation when you need it. I took a few liberties with the Jecklin “ standard ” in order to offer a very compact set-up that fits in a pocket, in line with the original idea.
