The Earsight Nano 2 is the smallest microphone in the Earsight family: a miniature omnidirectional stereo pair you can hide almost anywhere. It’s the ideal choice for discreet and stealth recording, plant mics, and any situation where size and weight matter.
Despite its tiny footprint, the Nano 2 keeps a low 17 dBA self-noise and −27 dB sensitivity — quiet enough for detailed nature and urban ambience work. Like all Earsight microphones, each pair is hand-soldered, assembled and matched in my workshop in Nantes, France.
Choose XLR connectors (48V phantom power) or the 3.5 mm mini-jack version running on your recorder’s plug-in power. **Note:** PIP operation requires a minimum of 2V; use the highest PIP voltage your recorder offers (up to 10V) for maximum headroom, or pair it with my PIP/XLR adapter on XLR-only recorders.
