Earsight PIP/XLR Adapter

This PIP to XLR adapter solves a classic field recording problem: your microphones use a 3.5 mm plug-in power (PIP) connector, but your recorder only has XLR inputs. Plug the adapter in, enable 48V phantom power, and it converts that phantom supply into a clean 10V feed for your PIP microphone.

That 10V matters: many recorders only deliver 2–3V of plug-in power, which limits the headroom of electret capsules. With this adapter, PIP versions of the Earsight microphones — and most third-party PIP mics — run at their full potential, with maximum headroom and dynamic range.

Hand-built in Nantes, France, with Neutrik connectors, and available in standard and low-profile XLR versions.
