The Earsight Standard V2 is my most versatile microphone: a matched omnidirectional stereo pair with a very low noise floor (14 dBA) and high sensitivity (−24 dB), designed to capture quiet ambiences, nature soundscapes and city atmospheres with remarkable detail.
Each pair is hand-built and individually tested in my workshop in Nantes, France. You can choose between XLR connectors (48V phantom power) and a 3.5 mm mini-jack version powered by your recorder’s plug-in power (PIP). **Important:** the PIP version needs at least 2V from your recorder — and the higher the voltage (up to 10V), the more headroom you get. If your recorder only has XLR inputs, my PIP/XLR adapter delivers a full 10V to the capsules.
With options for cable length, windshields and low-profile XLR, the Standard V2 adapts to any rig — from a Zoom F3 in a small bag to a full location sound setup.
