The Zoom F3 has no 3.5 mm PIP stereo input; this adapter lets you use your Earsight PIP microphones with it. Designed for Earsight mics, it also works with any stereo microphone that accepts a plug-in supply up to 10V — check your datasheet or ask me to confirm the maximum voltage.
A built-in circuit converts the 48V phantom down to roughly 9V PIP — the sweet spot for Earsight capsules (best signal-to-noise, low distortion). Portable recorders usually supply 2.5V, which works but won't let the capsules reach 100% of their specs. Hand-crafted in France with silver-based soldering for maximum signal quality.
