Zoom F3 and F6, PIP mini jack mics adapter
Product Details
Zoom F3 now PIP mini jack compatible

Zoom F3 recorder is not equipped with a mini jack 3.5 PIP stereo in, this adapter allows you to use your Earsight PIP microphones with it.

Specially designed for Earsight microphones, the adapter also works with any stereo microphone requiring a plug in power supply that supports 10V voltage, please ask me or check the datasheet of your mics to validate the maximum voltage.

This adapter is equipped with a circuit to convert the 48v phantom voltage to aproximately 9V PIP. This voltage is perfectly adapted for Earsight capsules which give their best performance (signal to noise ratio and low distortion). Portable recorders usually offer a 2,5V power supply which works but does not allow to use the Earsight capsules at 100% of their specs.

Hand-crafted in France with silver-based soldering for maximal signal quality.

This adapter is actually more compact than it seems in the pictures. It's very small and very rugged, so it makes a perfect companion to the F3. This is vastly superior over regular XLR-3.5mm adapters like the Rode VLZ+ or Pro, especially for TRS stereo PIP mics. I wish I had found it sooner. I like that the 3.5mm input jack is located to the side, so it's ideal for use with both right angle and straight plugs, and keeps them out of the way and protected. So far I've tested this with 3.5mm 272-M Clippies and Earsight Binaural mics, and both work perfectly with this adapter.
