The Earsight Thumb series features a design commonly used in field recording, similar in size to Sennheiser's MKH8020, but at a fraction of the price. The idea was to equip your recorder with a pair of high-quality, low-noise microphones, like a custom pocket recorder. Thumb was born, or rather, the name was easily found thanks to its shape.

These microphones are so flexible that you can mount them directly on the recorder or on a stereo bar with standard clips like standard SDC microphones.

It's also the perfect stereo pair for cinema room tone capture.

Install windshields that stay in place thanks to a retaining groove, or use larger windshields when recording in strong winds.

If you plan to plug them directly into your recorder and avoid to carry a lot of accessories, I reccomment thumb angled for even more flexibility.

- Sound devices MixPre3 and MixPre6

- Tascam Portacapture X8

I also recommend to add Comica windshield that mics are designed to fit perfectly with them (the collar on the mic retain the windshield to keep it safe). If you plan to record outside, windshields are heavily recommended due to very high sensitivity against wind of the mics.

Shipping took a little longer than expected, but I’m very pleased with the overall quality. The sound quality is also excellent. I would gladly recommend it, and I think I’ll be coming back to purchase again in the future. If possible, I would also appreciate it if more items were offered under the $150 customs duty threshold. I believe that would give customers a wider range of choices and could help attract more buyers as well. ty

Arrived to Norway in 1 week, very well packed. The mic have very low internal noise and high sensitivity. I do not need to add gain in post processing fase. The sound is realistic and round, not to much higher frequencies as I was told in a video on YouTube, it is well balanced. I love it.

These microphones worked perfectly for an excellent stereo image on the Zoom H6essential digital recorder! These sound exactly like the Sound Professionals Master Series MKII elements with low SNR and an excellent frequency response! Processed, shipped, and arrived to the US in 13 days.
